Beyonce's "Pretty Hurts"

Beyonce- Pretty Hurts

Pretty Hurts is a song recorded by American singer Beyonce for her fifth studio album. Nonetheless, Pretty Hurts music video is what song is known for. Beyoncé plays as a beauty pageant contest representing Third Ward Houston, which is the area in which she grew up. It opens with the sound of a soft piano and shots of Beyoncé sporting short hair, looking at herself in the mirror. It transitions to a segment of her fellow contestants preparing for the pageant backstage, combing their hair, fitting their dresses, also analyzing and critiquing their bodies. One scene during the preparations shows Beyoncé arguing with another contestant over a hair dryer. Multiple shots of the singer follow, of which depict her sitting on a floor and leaving a bathroom after vomiting. The clip then sees contestants looking tired and distressed backstage. This video speaks volume and honestly speaks for a lot of girls out there. Pretty does hurt and its not an easy job to maintain.

Blessings - Big Sean (ft. Drake & Kanye West) Review

"I'm wayyyyy up I feel blessed"

"I'm wayyyyy up I feel blessed" raps Toronto's on Drake on new rapper Big Sean's new single Blessings featuring the always eccentric Kanye West, who delivers a special guest verse and gives the already dead track a menacing blow. Blessings shows Big Sean's emergence as potentially one of rap new kings. Blessings produced by "0-100" producer Vinlyz catches your attention at the very drop of the song. From its bass line at the beginning of the song to the creepy violin strings that ring throughout the entire song Blessings definitely proves to be one the best songs released this year. Big Sean opens the track with a very monotone but yet fast paced verse that rips from bar to bar. Sean's delivery is as consistent as they come and the ability for him to transform and switch up his flow is incredible. Then there's the always consistent "Champagne Papi" raps "I'm here for a good time not a long time" on the song's hook. As well as delivering the hook Drake also delivers a guest verse on the song. Kanye West appears on this song and delivers of course plenty of Kanye quotables rapping on  "right now I'm calling you from my home gym, right after that n*gga I'm gone swim". With of course, Kanye West closing the song out with the final verse ending it with "I'm wayyyy up I feel blessed".
